Environmental Credits & Net Zero - EPUB

Consumers Council of Canada wishes to improve the understanding of its members and the interested public about how environmental credits may contribute to ‘net-zero’ emissions, for the benefit of consumers and the environment. This member-volunteer-produced paper consolidates information and ideas from many sources into a single document about this topic. In addition, it attempts to contextualize recent news about the sale by Ontario Power Generation of environmental credits to Microsoft and a response by the Ontario Energy Board to an intervention by Environmental Defence concerning OPG’s issuance of such credits. The views expressed in this discussion paper are those of its author.
