This Consumers Council of Canada research report reveals consumer views on the “on-demand consumer” and how the fast, convenient, and immediate access to goods and services using smartphones or computers have, if at all, changed their behaviour and expectations; impacted the way they assess and take risks to acquire what they want when they want it; aected the ability of businesses to respond to current and future consumer demands, requirements and concerns, and; impacted suppliers, supply chains, retailers, workers, the environment, regulators and consumer organizations.
